Dagenham & Redbridge FC have confirmed on the
Official Site that popular goalkeeper
Tony Roberts has signed a two year extension to his contract that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2006/07 season.
Robbo, who will be 36 in August, must now be looking to end what has been an illustrious career with the Daggers. The club
has also awarded him a testimonial as part of the new contract.
Tony signed for the club in July 2000 from St Albans City and has been a fixture in the Daggers first team since, barring
injury. Unforgettable moments include his goal at Basingstoke in the FA Cup, his "Player of the Round" performance at Norwich
City in the FA Cup 4th Round and his penalty saves in the Play Off semi-final at Morecambe (below).

Earlier this season Robbo was sent off twice in daft circumstances and attracted some criticism as a result
but as the season has progressed he has once again shown what a good keeper he can be, behind a young defensive line being
built by John Still.
As he is never less than fully committed to the cause and is a real character, most Daggers fans will be very
encouraged by the news today.
Tony will be pleased that he won't have to go to Farnborough next season though barring cup draws!
